Happy Thanksgiving from Salida Colorado

We love spending Thanksgiving with family but we are returning early to Salida to enjoy a Friendsgiving, the parade of lights, lighting of Christmas Mountain, and Salida’s Next Last Waltz. It’s probably our favorite week in Salida!

Throughout December Riverside Park will feature holiday park with hundreds of trees decorated by local families and businesses and Tenderfoot Mountain will shine as the largest Christmas tree in the nation.

Last week Monarch Mountain opened for the 85th season and this week we are expecting another storm to deliver several feet of snow. Whether you enjoy skinning uphill or using the lifts to get in your turns there’s bound to be many fun days this winter. There are also many nearby options for shoe shoeing and cross country skiing.

If snow isn’t your thing most days are fairly mild and sunny in Salida so you can still enjoy our shopping and galleries.
